Face Covering Update Due to Recent Substantial Transmission Guidelines from CDC and IDPH

The Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC recently announced that individuals are encouraged to wear a mask indoors in coronavirus hot spots. This includes fully vaccinated people.

Currently, Will and DuPage Counties as a whole have been categorized as “Substantial” in transmission levels.
Therefore, in an effort to slow the spread and prevent our village and counties from moving into higher risk zones and tighter restrictions, thee Woodridge Park District will follow both the IDPH and CDC guidelines.

Effective Monday, August 2, the District is requiring individuals who are not vaccinated to continue to wear a mask indoors and recommending individuals who are vaccinated to wear a mask indoors.

Those using the fitness center who are vaccinated will not need to wear a mask while on the workout machines, however, the District asks masks to be worn while traveling between machines.

Currently, there is no change in masking guidance for outdoor public settings, but the District asks that all those in attendance at outdoor events be respectful of those around them and practice physical distancing.
