Following the latest guidance from the CDC and the State of Illinois, the Woodridge Park District has updated its face covering guidelines, effective immediately. Here is a summary:
- Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated people using Woodridge Park District facilities and amenities. By participating in a Park District program or visiting a Park District facility without a face covering, you are verifying truthfully that you have been fully vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the administration of the final course of your vaccine—in other words, 14 days after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or 14 days after the administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- Face coverings and social distancing are required for non-vaccinated individuals including all children ages 2 through 11. Based on current DCEO guidelines related to both indoor and outdoor youth and adult sports, face coverings are still required with the exception of outdoor baseball and softball sports when socially distanced as permitted per DCEO regardless of age.
- Patrons wishing to wear face coverings are welcome to do so, regardless of their vaccination status.
- Staff and/or independent contractor instructors that are unvaccinated will be required to wear a face covering.
Regardless of vaccination status, please refrain from coming onto Park District property when you have signs or symptoms of COVID, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
The District will continue to monitor, seek clarifications and adjust according to new guidelines established by the CDC, OSHA, EEOC, Illinois Governor’s Executive Orders, DCEO, IDPH, DuPage County Public Health, etc. as our area moves through the phases of the “Restore Illinois” Plan.
